Inclined slab concrete stair
- A concrete stair which spans between landings .
- Where there are load bearing walls around the stair , it is generally economic to :
- Build the landings into the side walls as one-way spanning slabs .
- Construct the flights as inclined slabs between the landings .
- Suitable for used where the enclosing walls are of brick or block .
- It would involve a great deal of wasteful cutting of bricks or blocks as :
- The flights are to be built into the walls
- The bricks or blocks are cut to fit to the steps .
