The supply of water from intake to the consumer is in stages :

1. From intake to treatment plant
2. From treatment plant to service reservoir 
3. From service reservoir to consumer ( users )

Distribution of water

• Water tower to supply buildings too high to be served by service reservoirs 
• Building rising above level of mains head
• Minimum head is 30m below the service reservoir
