• The rise must between 150mm until 170mm
• The going must minimum 250 mm
• The landing must minimum 1200mm
• 55 mm visual contrast strip on rise and tread 
• Rise and going consistent
• No open rises
• 12 risers maximum and 16 risers in small premises where space is restricted 
• The handrails should also start before 300mm from the first step and end at the top step .
