Control of work on site

• Careful supervision of building work at all stages is necessary to complement good design , specifications & detailing by the designers .
• There are some difficulties in ensuring workmanship is of an adequate standard due to :

1. Increasing difficulty in recruiting workers with the necessary skills for the construction industry .
2. Lack of properly trained workforce .
3. The increase in the number of complex projects in recent years requires careful coordination .
4. There may be an over-emphasis on quantity rather than quality of construction .
