Sulphate attack

  • Sulphates are present in :
  1. Soil esp. clays
  2. Sea water
  3. Ground water
  4. Industrial waste
  5. Acid rain
Sulphate solution reacs with hydrated tricalcium aluminate to form calcium sulphoaluminate .
