Specialist Equipment

  1. Damp Diagnosis
- Electrical resistance meters for measuring the moisture content of timbers , plasters , stones , brick & concrete .
Carbide moisture tester allows very accurate determination of moisture content in dust . Samples collected from walling materials ....

2. Visual Inspection Probes :
- Endoscopes , which are optical instruments with an integral light source for inspecting cavities & voids without extensive opening up .
- Borescopes which come in a wide range of angles of views , lengths & diameters with several different attachments , including one for a camera .

3. Non - destructive tests
- Cover meters to determine the location & sizing of reinforcement bars in concrete as well as giving guidance on cover to the steel .
- Ultrasonic pulse velocity meters for determining he quality of contete , the presence of voids , cracks or other imperfections & the assessment of concree strength . THe same equipment can also be used on metals & timbers .
- Half-cell potential meters for survying reinforcement corrosion risk in concrete , based on the electrode potential of the steel .
Rebound hammer for determining comparative surveyes of surface hardness of concrete .
- Windsor probes for in situ strength measurement of concrete .
- Infra-red thermometers to record temperature variations withion a building , e.g. to detect leakages in heating systems as well as mapping delamination of wall finishes on building facades .
-Radar which measures the reflected signal or pulses fired into the concrete & is useful in detecting voids , reinforcement positions at larger depth & other defect which are associated with changes in the homogeneity of the concrete .
